Spokane Valley, formerly Starr Investments & Benefits
Stop wondering if you have enough.
See your clear path to retirement on one page.
You worked thirty years for this. You should not have to guess. We turn savings, Social Security, taxes, and insurance into one plan that works together.

- You know where you stand.
- Your decisions work together.
- A real person answers when you call.

Retirement should feel exciting. For a lot of people it feels like a math test with no answer key.
You open the statement and close it again. You and your spouse start the Social Security talk and never finish it. You say “one more year” for the third year in a row.
Maybe you pulled from the wrong account last spring and got a tax surprise. Maybe your husband or wife handled everything, and now it is all on you.
None of that means you did anything wrong. It means the pieces were never put on one page. That is the part we do.
See how the Road Map worksWe have walked this road with Spokane families for more than 25 years.
Jim Starr built this firm on one idea: people do not need a salesperson, they need a mentor with a process. He called it the P4 Process. Prepare, Plan, Perform, Persist. Our team has used it with families and business owners across the Inland Northwest for more than 25 years.
Jim passed a few years ago. Kirby Brown and the team carry the process forward. Same people. Same process. A name that fits where we are going.
One more thing, because you are probably wondering. Some of what we do is paid by fee. Some is paid by commission. We tell you which applies to you before you decide anything.

What changes when the pieces are on one page

01
One plan, not five piles
Social Security, taxes, investments, insurance, and what you leave behind are usually handled by five different people who never talk. Your Road Map puts them on one page, so a decision in one box does not surprise you in another.

02
A process, not a pitch
Your first meeting is the Prepare phase. We listen, we look at what you already have, and we ask the questions nobody asked you. You leave with a one-page summary of where you stand. Nothing is sold in that room.

03
Your business and your household, one team
If you own a company, your retirement, your crew’s benefits, and your own Medicare questions are not separate problems. Kirby plans for you, James handles the benefits for your people, and Diana walks you through Medicare when the time comes.

Own a business with 20 to 100 employees?
If your benefits broker only shows up at renewal with a bigger number and zero options, you are not alone. Most owners we meet say the same thing: the costs are not sustainable, and they are tired of being the HR department.
James Brown runs True Path Benefit Solutions. He shops your plan every year, handles enrollment, and answers your crew’s questions so you do not have to. Ask him for a Benefits Renewal Second Opinion, free, best done 90 days before your renewal.

Questions people ask before they call
How are you paid?
It depends on what you need. Planning and investment advice may be paid by a fee. Insurance products pay a commission from the carrier. Before you decide anything, we tell you which applies and what it costs. No surprises.
Do I need a certain amount saved to work with you?
No. We work with people who are a few years from retirement, people already retired, and business owners at every stage. What matters is that you want a plan that works together, not a product.
Will I be sold something in the first meeting?
No. The first meeting is the Prepare phase of our process. We listen and look at what you have. You leave with a one-page summary of where you stand. What you do next is up to you.
Most people wait until something forces the question.
A layoff. A diagnosis. A spouse who is suddenly not there. You do not have to wait for that. Fifteen minutes on the phone is enough to know if a Road Map Review makes sense for you.
Or call 509-922-8642 and ask for Tyann.
